Although Valentine’s Day is still a month away, we thought it a good idea to give you some inspiration on how to make your balcony or terrace a romantic space. Today we look at some general tips on how to add some romance to your balcony:
Combine deep red colours with classic design for a charming romantic effect. Try to incorporate classic elements – such as wrought-iron railings – and add plants and flowers for colour. You can add some finishing touches in the form of wooden shutter windows painted in a contrasting, bright colour to add a bit of flair to the space.
The lighting you use is very important. In our next post we’ll look at accessories, such as lanterns, that will help you create a romantic atmosphere. But it is also important that you make sure the lighting on the balcony is soft – aim for lights that are just a little brighter than a few candles would be.
There are few furniture pieces as romantic as a hang chair. Add one to your balcony for an immediate romantic effect. Get this Balcony Hang Chair now from Terrace Living.
