In our second in the two-part series on inspiring Oriental designs, we look at furniture and fine touches that can add a bit of Eastern inspiration to your balcony. Combine these visual tips in any way you think will work best with your own balcony design.

Add a large stone container for growing bamboo. Bamboo is one of the most prevalent materials in Oriental design and can add a beautiful effect to any balcony space.

Get a small square stone table and place a large bowl with a single large water lily on it.

Hang paper lanterns around the balcony to add some Oriental flair and provide beautiful, soft natural light.
